Invite viewers with access keys

Access keys open a video or a broadcast to the people you choose, with a key for one viewer or a shared key for a group.

Access keys let you open a video or a broadcast to the people you choose, one code at a time.

You pick one of two key types: a key for a single viewer, or a shared key for a whole group.

Both key types also work on paid content, so you can invite a reviewer or a sponsor to a paid event without a purchase.

A single-viewer key plays on one device at a time, and when a second device opens it, the first one is stopped.

Two devices behind the same home or office network still count as two devices, so a shared single-viewer key does not slip through.

If two people try to redeem the same single-use key at the same moment, exactly one of them gets in.

A viewer who opens a key they already hold again does not use up a second seat.

A key opens only the broadcast it was issued for, and a key from another broadcast is refused.

You can switch a key off or let it expire, and from then on it no longer opens anything.

Once a key has let someone in, it no longer shows as untouched, so you can see which invitations were actually opened.

The player renewing its own session is not counted as another viewer, so your numbers stay honest.

A viewer who arrives with a valid key before the broadcast starts is told that it has not begun yet, not that the key is wrong.

If a temporary fault prevents a redemption from being recorded, the viewer is asked to try again instead of being told the code is invalid.

Use single-viewer keys for paid seminars and screenings, where each seat should belong to one person.

Use a shared key for a team, a class or a press group, where everyone should get in with the same code.

Pay-per-view lets you sell access to a single video or a single live event, and the buyer pays once for that item.

The charge is made directly on your own connected Stripe account, and the platform commission is taken as a fee on that charge.

Sales open only after Stripe confirms that your account is fully set up to take charges and to send payouts.

Until then, a buyer is told that the sale is not open yet and never sees your onboarding status or your account links.

Every purchase records the terms it was sold on before any money is asked for.

If you raise the amount later, buyers who already paid keep their access on the terms they bought.
