1. INTRODUCTION

These Community Guidelines ("Guidelines") apply to all users of the Dcast platform. By using our Platform, you agree to follow these Guidelines and help create a safe, respectful, and inclusive community.

2. PROHIBITED CONTENT

2.1 Illegal Content

  • Content that violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law
  • Content that promotes or facilitates illegal activities
  • Content that infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Content that violates export control laws

2.2 Harmful Content

  • Content that promotes violence, self-harm, or suicide
  • Content that contains graphic violence or gore
  • Content that promotes dangerous activities or challenges
  • Content that could cause physical or emotional harm

2.3 Hate Speech and Discrimination

  • Content that promotes hatred or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or other protected characteristics
  • Content that incites violence against individuals or groups
  • Content that promotes conspiracy theories targeting specific groups
  • Content that uses slurs or derogatory language

2.4 Harassment and Bullying

  • Content that harasses, threatens, or intimidates others
  • Content that doxxes or shares private information without consent
  • Content that promotes cyberbullying or online harassment
  • Content that targets individuals for abuse

2.5 Sexual Content

  • Pornographic or sexually explicit adult content of any kind
  • Content that contains explicit sexual material involving minors
  • Content that promotes sexual exploitation or trafficking
  • Content that contains non-consensual sexual material
  • Content that promotes sexual violence or coercion

2.6 Spam and Scams

  • Content that is repetitive, unwanted, or irrelevant
  • Content that promotes fraudulent schemes or scams
  • Content that contains misleading or false information
  • Content that promotes pyramid schemes or get-rich-quick schemes

2.7 Payment-Restricted Businesses

Because sales are processed through Stripe and the card networks, you may not sell or monetize anything on Stripe's Restricted Businesses list or otherwise prohibited by the card networks — including pornographic or sexually explicit adult content, illegal goods or services, regulated products sold without required licensing, intellectual-property-infringing goods, and other prohibited categories. Violations may result in immediate removal and termination of monetization.

This restriction applies wherever you distribute or monetize content, including through the API, embed tools, or on your external or declared domains — not only on Dcast-hosted pages. Monetization features (paid-content checkout, tips, donations, subscriptions, and embedded paid players) may be deployed only on domains you have declared in your Dcast account, and the same prohibited-content and restricted-business rules apply to those deployments. Dcast may suspend monetization for undeclared or non-compliant deployments.

3. CONTENT CREATION STANDARDS

3.1 Original Content

  • Create original content or ensure you have proper rights to use third-party content
  • Give proper attribution when using others' work
  • Respect copyright and trademark laws
  • Don't impersonate others or use their content without permission

3.2 Quality Standards

  • Provide value to your audience
  • Use appropriate audio and video quality
  • Respect your audience's time and attention
  • Be authentic and genuine in your content

3.3 Age-Appropriate Content

  • Clearly label mature content
  • Use appropriate content warnings
  • Don't target inappropriate content to minors
  • Respect age restrictions and parental controls

4. MONETIZATION GUIDELINES

4.1 Transparent Pricing

  • Clearly display prices for paid content
  • Don't use misleading pricing tactics
  • Honor refund policies and terms
  • Provide accurate descriptions of paid content

4.2 Fair Business Practices

  • Don't engage in price gouging or deceptive practices
  • Provide value commensurate with pricing
  • Honor commitments to subscribers
  • Maintain professional communication

4.3 Payment Processing

  • Use only approved payment methods
  • Comply with all applicable financial regulations
  • Don't engage in money laundering or tax evasion
  • Maintain accurate financial records

5. INTERACTIONS AND COMMUNITY

5.1 Respectful Communication

  • Treat all users with respect and dignity
  • Use appropriate language and tone
  • Listen to feedback and constructive criticism
  • Engage in meaningful discussions

5.2 Moderation

  • Report content that violates these Guidelines
  • Don't attempt to circumvent moderation actions
  • Cooperate with Platform investigations
  • Respect moderator decisions

5.3 Privacy and Safety

  • Respect others' privacy and personal information
  • Don't share personal information without consent
  • Use appropriate security measures
  • Report safety concerns immediately

6. ENFORCEMENT

6.1 Violation Consequences

  • Warning: First-time minor violations
  • Content Removal: Content that violates Guidelines
  • Account Suspension: Repeated or serious violations
  • Account Termination: Severe or repeated violations

6.2 Appeal Process

  • You may appeal moderation decisions
  • Appeals must be submitted within 30 days
  • Provide evidence supporting your appeal
  • Appeals are reviewed by our moderation team

6.3 Reporting Violations and Trust & Safety

To report content or conduct that may violate these Guidelines — including illegal content, sexual or adult content, harassment, or copyright infringement — email [email protected] or use our contact form. Please include a link (URL) and a short description so we can locate it.

Dcast reviews reports and may remove content or warn, suspend, or terminate accounts as appropriate. Dcast operates on a notice-and-response basis: it reserves the right, but assumes no obligation, to proactively monitor, pre-screen, or review content, and does not conduct automated surveillance of private lessons, video calls, or private messages. Don't abuse the reporting system — false or bad-faith reports may result in account penalties.
