Subtitle Shifter
Shift SRT or VTT timestamps by seconds or milliseconds. Processed in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
Input
Paste SRT/VTT or choose a file. Timestamps like 00:00:01,000 --> 00:00:04,000 will be shifted.
How the subtitle shifter works
Paste SRT or VTT content (or load a file), choose the format, and enter the shift in seconds and milliseconds. Positive values delay subtitles; negative values move them earlier. The result appears below; download it as .srt or .vtt. Use the timestamp converter to convert between seconds, HH:MM:SS, and SRT time format.
- Q:What is SRT and VTT?
- A:SRT (SubRip) and VTT (WebVTT) are subtitle formats. Both use timestamps like 00:00:01,000 --> 00:00:04,000 (SRT uses a comma for milliseconds; VTT uses a dot). This tool shifts all such timestamps by the amount you enter (seconds and/or milliseconds).
- Q:Is my subtitle data uploaded?
- A:No. Processing runs entirely in your browser. Paste text or choose a file; the shifted result is generated locally. Nothing is sent to our servers.
