Copyright Policy & DMCA Notice-and-Takedown
Last updated: June 23, 2026
Dcast respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its creators and users to do the same. This policy explains how copyright owners can report infringing material and how Dcast responds, consistent with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA, 17 U.S.C. § 512) and equivalent laws of other jurisdictions.
Creators are responsible for their content
Dcast is a neutral technology platform and hosting intermediary. Creators are the authors and publishers of the content they upload, stream, sell, and distribute, and each creator represents that they own — or have obtained all rights, licenses, and permissions necessary to use — their content. Dcast does not pre-screen content and does not assume authorship of user content.
Registered Designated Agent
Dcast (operated by PROFIGROUP LLC) has registered a Designated Agent to receive notifications of claimed copyright infringement with the United States Copyright Office (DMCA Designated Agent Directory, registration DMCA-1074642).
- Designated Agent: Copyright Agent, PROFIGROUP LLC
- Email: [email protected]
- The Agent's full mailing address is on public record in the U.S. Copyright Office DMCA Designated Agent Directory.
How to submit a copyright (takedown) notice
If you believe content on the Services infringes a copyright you own or control, send a written notice to [email protected] — or use our contact form and select "Copyright / DMCA notice" — that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature;
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed;
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to let us locate it (such as the URL);
- Your contact information (name, address, email, and telephone);
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
Our response
Upon receipt of a valid notice, Dcast will expeditiously remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and will make a reasonable effort to notify the affected creator.
Counter-notification
A creator who believes their content was removed by mistake or misidentification may submit a counter-notice to [email protected] as permitted by the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512(g)), containing the elements required by statute. If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material unless the original complainant first files a court action.
Repeat infringers
Dcast maintains and enforces a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of creators who are repeat infringers.
No general monitoring obligation
Dcast acts on a notice-and-response basis. Consistent with 17 U.S.C. § 512(m), nothing in this policy requires Dcast to monitor its Services or to affirmatively seek facts indicating infringing activity.
