Team management

Communicate with your team using team chat

Send messages, share links, and coordinate before and during events without leaving the dashboard.

Before you start

  • Your team has at least one accepted member.
  • You are in the Team section.

Steps

  1. 1Open Team Management and click on the Chat tab.
  2. 2You see a list of team members in the sidebar.
  3. 3Click a team member's name to open a direct message.
  4. 4Type your message and press Enter to send.
  5. 5Use the general team channel for announcements relevant to everyone.
  6. 6You can share links to streams, videos, or external resources directly in chat.
  7. 7Team members receive a notification badge when they have unread messages.

Expected result

Your team can communicate in real time without leaving the DCAST dashboard.

Common problems

I do not see any team members in the chat sidebar.

Only team members who have accepted their invitation appear in chat. Pending members are not shown.

A message I sent is not showing up.

Refresh the chat panel. If it still does not appear, check your internet connection.

I am not receiving notifications.

Check that browser notifications for DCAST are enabled — the browser may have blocked them when you first visited the page.
