Update your profile and display name

Change how your name appears to viewers, update your tagline, and keep your details current.

Before you start

  • You are signed in to DCAST.

Steps

  1. 1Click SETTINGS in the dashboard top navigation (or open the account menu → Settings).
  2. 2Find the Profile section.
  3. 3Update your Display Name — this is the name viewers see on your streams and public page.
  4. 4Add or update your tagline — a short line that appears under your name.
  5. 5To change your avatar (profile photo), go to Site Customization → Profile and upload a new image.
  6. 6Click Save.

Expected result

Your updated name and tagline appear immediately in the dashboard and on your public creator page.

Common problems

The display name is already taken.

Try a variation — add a word, your topic, or a number to make it unique.

Changes saved but I still see the old name.

Hard-refresh the page (Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac).

I want to change my username (the URL slug).

Username changes may be limited after your account is established. Contact support if the option is not visible.
