Export your account data

Download a copy of your DCAST data — useful for records, backups, or moving content.

Before you start

  • You are signed in to your account.

Steps

    Open Settings → the Privacy tab.

    Find the card titled Export Your Data.
  3. 3
    Click Download My Data.
  4. 4
    The file is built on the spot and the browser downloads it right away — there is no queue and no waiting.
  5. 5
    No email is sent. Nothing arrives in your inbox and there is no expiring link to click.
  6. 6
    The download is a single JSON file named after the brand and today’s date.
  7. 7
    It holds profile information, security and activity logs, content (streams, videos, playlists), subscription information, and analytics data.

Expected result

A JSON file with your account data lands in your browser downloads within a few seconds.

Common problems

I am waiting for the export email and it never comes.

There is no email at any point. The file downloads straight from the button — look in your browser’s downloads folder.

The download link expired.

There is no link to expire. Press the button again whenever you want a fresh copy.

I need my actual video files, not just metadata.

Data export includes metadata only. Your video files are available to download from the Videos section.
