Change your password

Update your password to keep your account secure.

Before you start

  • You know your current password.
  • You are signed in to your account.

Steps

  1. 1Open the account menu (top right) → Settings.
  2. 2Find the Security or Password section.
  3. 3Enter your current password.
  4. 4Enter your new password.
  5. 5Enter the new password again to confirm.
  6. 6Click Save or Update Password.
  7. 7Sign out and sign back in with the new password to confirm it works.

Expected result

Your account password is updated and the old password no longer works.

Common problems

I forgot my current password.

Sign out and use the Forgot Password link on the sign-in page to reset it by email.

The new password is rejected.

Use at least 8 characters with a mix of letters and numbers. Avoid very simple passwords.

I changed the password but got signed out everywhere.

This is normal security behaviour. Sign back in on all devices with the new password.
