Invite participants to your room

Share the room link and make sure participants know how to join.

Before you start

  • The room has been created.
  • The access settings match your audience.
  • You know how participants will receive the invitation (email, message app, etc.).

Steps

  1. 1Open the room and find the room link.
  2. 2Click Copy link.
  3. 3Send the link to participants through your usual channel — email, messaging app, or calendar invite.
  4. 4Let participants know whether they need to sign in or can join as guests.
  5. 5Remind them to allow camera and microphone access in their browser when prompted.
  6. 6Join the room yourself a few minutes before the session starts.
  7. 7Wait for participants — they appear in the waiting room if you require host approval.

Expected result

Participants open the link, see the join screen, and enter the room according to the access rules you set.

Common problems

A participant cannot open the link.

Send the full URL again and ask them to use an up-to-date browser such as Chrome or Firefox.

A participant has no microphone or camera.

Ask them to check browser permissions — they may need to click Allow when the browser asks.

Someone is stuck in the waiting room.

Open the participant list in the room controls and click Admit.
