Video on demand

Allow your player only on your own websites

Keep a list of the sites where your videos and broadcasts may be embedded, so nobody else can show your player on their pages.

Before you start

  • You know the domains of the websites where your player should appear, for example example.com and shop.example.com.
  • The list covers all the videos and broadcasts of your account, not one item.

Steps

  1. 1
Open Settings and stay on the Profile tab. Scroll down to the card Embedding on other websites.
  2. 2
In Allowed domains, enter each site by its domain only β€” example.com, without https:// and without a page path β€” one per line or separated by commas. Up to 50 entries.
  3. 3
List subdomains separately, for example both example.com and shop.example.com.
  4. 4
Click Save. The card confirms Embedding settings saved.
  5. 5
Open a page of your website with the embedded player and check that it plays.
  6. 6
To let every website embed your player again, empty the list and click Save.

Expected result

Your player plays on the sites in the list, and on any other site the browser refuses to show it.

Common problems

Saving says to enter valid domains without paths, ports or wildcards.

Remove everything except the domain itself: no https://, no /page, no :8080. Write each subdomain on its own line.

The player no longer shows on my own website.

The domain of that page is missing from the list. Add exactly the domain shown in the address bar of that page and save.

The card says the settings are unavailable.

Reload the page and try again.
