Live streaming
Control who can watch your stream
Make your stream public, private, link-only, or subscriber-only — and change it at any time.
Before you start
- Your stream exists in the dashboard.
- You know whether the stream is for everyone, a selected group, or paying subscribers.
Steps
- 1Open the stream and click Settings.
- 2Find the Visibility or Access section.
- 3Choose Public — anyone can discover and watch.
- 4Or choose Link-only — only people with the exact URL can watch.
- 5Or choose Subscribers-only — only people subscribed to your channel can watch.
- 6Or choose Private — only you can see it.
- 7If you use subscriber or tier access, confirm that your monetization settings are active.
- 8Save the settings.
Expected result
The watch page enforces exactly the access rules you set. Test it in a private browser window before sharing.
Common problems
A viewer says the stream is locked but it should be free.
Check that the visibility is actually set to Public, not Link-only.
I accidentally shared a private stream link.
Change the visibility immediately and let viewers know the correct link.
Subscriber access is not working.
Open the Monetization section and make sure your subscription tiers are active and published.
