Your creator website

Show your own name in your site footer

On PRO and VIP the footer of your creator site ends with your name and no Powered by DCAST line β€” here is what decides it and how to set the name.

Before you start

  • Your account is on the PRO or VIP plan. On FREE and STAR the footer keeps the Powered by DCAST line.
  • There is no switch for this: DCAST decides it from your plan on the server, so it cannot be forgotten or switched off by mistake.

Steps

  1. 1
Decide which name visitors should see. The footer shows your channel name; if it is empty or looks like an email address, it shows your Site Name instead.
  2. 2
To set the channel name, open Settings, go to Profile and fill in Channel name (up to 100 characters). Save the profile.
  3. 3
To set the Site Name, open your account menu, click Site Customization, open the SEO Settings tab and fill in Site Name.
  4. 4
Open your public site β€” use View Public Page in the account menu, or your subdomain or custom domain.
  5. 5
Scroll to the very bottom. The footer reads Β© with the year and your name, with no Powered by DCAST after it.

Expected result

Every page of your creator site ends with your name, in both footer layouts the templates use, and the browser tab no longer shows the DCAST icon.

Common problems

The footer still says Powered by DCAST.

Check your plan on the Billing page β€” the line disappears on PRO and VIP only. After an upgrade, reload your site.

The footer shows only Β© and the year, without a name.

Neither a channel name nor a Site Name is set. Fill in Channel name in Settings β†’ Profile.

The footer shows a different name than I expected.

The channel name wins over the Site Name. Change Channel name in Settings β†’ Profile if it is not the one you want visitors to remember.
