Multi-destination streaming

Go live and stop the restream

Start sending video to all destinations and end the broadcast cleanly.

Before you start

  • The restream flow has at least one destination.
  • Your source stream or encoder is ready.
  • All destination accounts are set to accept a live stream.

Steps

  1. 1Open the restream flow.
  2. 2Confirm every destination shows Enabled.
  3. 3Start your encoder or source stream first — DCAST needs an incoming signal.
  4. 4Click Start Restream in the dashboard.
  5. 5Watch the status badge next to each destination — green means it is receiving video.
  6. 6Open each platform in a new browser tab and confirm the stream is live.
  7. 7When the event is over, click Stop Restream.
  8. 8Stop your encoder or source stream.
  9. 9Go to each destination platform and confirm the broadcast has ended there too.

Expected result

Your video appears live on all enabled destination platforms simultaneously and stops cleanly when you press Stop.

Common problems

One destination stays offline while others are live.

Check the credentials for that platform — the stream key may be wrong or expired.

All destinations fail to receive the signal.

Check that your source encoder is actually streaming — look for the active signal indicator in DCAST.

A platform keeps broadcasting after I stopped the restream.

Manually end the live stream on that platform's creator dashboard.
