Multi-destination streaming

Monitor destination health during a broadcast

Keep an eye on every platform to catch problems before viewers notice.

Before you start

  • The restream is running.
  • You have the destination platform pages open in browser tabs.

Steps

  1. 1Open the restream flow while the broadcast is live.
  2. 2Check the status badge for each destination — green is healthy, red means a problem.
  3. 3Click any destination to see more detail.
  4. 4Open each platform in a browser tab and play the stream as a viewer.
  5. 5Listen for audio and watch for frozen or pixelated video.
  6. 6If only one destination shows a problem, address it without touching the others.
  7. 7If all destinations fail at once, check your source encoder and internet connection.

Expected result

You can see the health of every destination in one view and respond immediately to any that drop.

Common problems

One platform shows red but the others are fine.

That platform may have a temporary issue or your key expired. Re-add the destination and try reconnecting.

All destinations drop at the same moment.

Your source stream or encoder likely had a network blip. Check OBS and your internet connection.

The stream quality is poor on one platform.

That platform may have bitrate limits. Check their documentation for recommended settings.
