Enable monetization on your account

Connect a payment method and activate monetization so you can start accepting payments from viewers.

Before you start

  • You have a DCAST account with at least one published stream or video.
  • You have a bank account or payment details ready.
  • You are in a country where payouts are supported.

Steps

  1. 1Open the account menu (top right) and click Monetization.
  2. 2Click Set up monetization or Get started.
  3. 3Read and agree to the monetization terms.
  4. 4Connect your Stripe account — Stripe handles all payments securely.
  5. 5If you do not have a Stripe account, you will be prompted to create one (it is free).
  6. 6Enter your bank or payout details in Stripe.
  7. 7Return to DCAST — your monetization dashboard should now show as Active.

Expected result

Your Monetization section is active and you can now create subscription tiers and sell access to content.

Common problems

The monetization option does not appear.

Make sure your account is verified. Check your email for a verification link if you have not done so.

Stripe setup fails.

Try opening the Stripe setup in a fresh browser tab. Use a personal bank account if a business account causes issues.

Payouts are not available in my country.

Check the Stripe supported countries list. If your country is not listed, payouts are not yet available.
