Remove the DCAST mark from your broadcasts and videos

On FREE the site name is written in the top-right corner of your picture; STAR, PRO and VIP have a clean picture β€” here is what decides it and how to check.

Before you start

  • You are signed in to your DCAST account.
  • There is no switch for the mark: DCAST decides it from your plan on the server. The mark is on FREE only; STAR, PRO and VIP have none.

Steps

  1. 1
Open a broadcast, restream or video of yours in the player and look at the top-right corner. On FREE you see the site name of your DCAST site in small white text, for example dcast.tv.
  2. 2
Click your avatar in the top right corner and choose Billing. The card whose button reads Current Plan is the plan your account is on.
  3. 3
To get a clean picture, choose STAR, PRO or VIP on the Billing page and pay.
  4. 4
When the new plan is active, start a new broadcast or restream, or upload or import the video again.
  5. 5
Open the new broadcast or video in the player and look at the top-right corner again. The site name is gone.

Expected result

New broadcasts, restreams and videos come out without the site name in the picture.

Common problems

The mark is still on a video I made before the upgrade.

The mark is part of the picture when the video is processed, so a video processed on FREE keeps it. Upload or import the video again after the upgrade.

My plan is paid, but a new broadcast still has the mark.

Open the Billing page and check that the card reading Current Plan is STAR, PRO or VIP. If it is and the mark is still there, open a support ticket with the date and the link to the broadcast.

I cannot hide the mark in the player.

Nobody can, including viewers: it is written into the picture itself and is not added by the player.
