Remove the Powered by chip from your rooms

On FREE every room shows a small Powered by chip with the site name; on STAR, PRO and VIP it is gone — here is what decides it and how to check.

Before you start

  • You are signed in to your DCAST account and host at least one room.
  • There is no switch for the chip: DCAST decides it from your plan on the server. The chip is shown on FREE only.

Steps

    Open one of your rooms and look at the bottom-left corner of the page. On FREE a small pill reads Powered by and the site name. Every participant sees it, and clicking it opens the site in a new tab.

    Click your avatar in the top right corner and choose Billing. The card whose button reads Current Plan is the plan your account is on.
  3. 3
    To remove the chip, choose STAR, PRO or VIP on the Billing page and pay.
  4. 4
    When the new plan is active, open the room again. If the room page was already open, reload it.
  5. 5
    Look at the bottom-left corner. The pill is gone.

Expected result

Your rooms open without the Powered by chip for you and for every participant.

Common problems

The chip is still there after I paid.

Reload the room page: the chip is decided each time the room page is loaded. If the Billing page shows the paid plan and the chip stays, open a support ticket.

The chip names a different site than I expected.

It names the site where your account was registered, for example dcast.tv or dcast.pro.

I am a participant, not the owner, and I see the chip.

The chip follows the plan of the room owner, not of the participant. A participant cannot remove it; ask the owner of the room.
