Track live stream performance

See peak viewers, average watch time, and drop-off points for your broadcasts.

Before you start

  • At least one live stream has ended.
  • You are in the Analytics section.

Steps

  1. 1Open Analytics and click on the Streams tab.
  2. 2Select the stream you want to review.
  3. 3Peak viewers shows the highest number of concurrent watchers at any point.
  4. 4Average watch time tells you how long the typical viewer stayed.
  5. 5The viewer timeline chart shows when people joined and when they left.
  6. 6A large drop in the chart often means a technical problem occurred at that moment — cross-check with your stream health data.
  7. 7Unique viewers is the number of individual people who watched, even if they joined late.

Expected result

You can see when your audience was largest and where you lost viewers — giving you clear feedback for the next broadcast.

Common problems

Peak viewers seems too low.

Check whether the stream visibility was set to Link-only or Subscriber-only instead of Public.

I see a big drop in the viewer chart at a specific time.

Check your stream health data for that timestamp — a bitrate spike or reconnect often causes viewers to leave.

The stats for a recent stream are missing.

Analytics for ended streams can take up to 30 minutes to fully populate.
